Our artist of the month

Lucky Mora

The doors of Lucky Mora's studio are opened to me and a chaotic collection of chairs, sofas, foams and fabrics come out to greet me. Everything has a place in this warehouse, located in a town near Barcelona, Arenys de Munt. Time stops when I find a chair from a bygone era, and moves forward very quickly when I come across some modern sheepskin upholstery, which must have been used on the sofas of some well-known hotel in Barcelona.
And among this labyrinth of objects is Lucky. He is the creator of the brand, an upholsterer by trade, creator and designer of these wonders that I find at every step.
He grew up surrounded by fabrics, his family was already dedicated to the world of household goods making curtains, upholstering chairs and sofas, and he decided to take up the baton and make this craft his art and his way of expression. He created his studio thus giving room to the restoration of furniture, emphasizing the importance of recycling and at the same time giving value to that feeling of nostalgia and attachment that we all feel for various pieces, be it that armchair you have inherited from someone dear, or that chair you found at a flea market that brings back so many memories; in this way Lucky gives them a second and even third life, always advising you on which fabric would suit them best, what he would change but the client's desire always prevails.
As a good creative, he offers unique pieces combining high-quality fabrics with structures that are no longer in production, thus creating more personal pieces.
Throughout his career, Lucky has decorated television sets, film sets, music videos, fashion store windows, he has dressed private homes with curtains and sofas, he has created pieces with his own hands that will surely once again captivate his most loyal customers and excite those who do not yet know him.
